What temp should a person have there A/C set the house. Should it be set so cold that you could hang beef?

There are no set rules as to where to set the temperature. Set it to where you are comfortable. If it is too cold simply set the control to a higher setting. If it is too warm adjust it back to a lower setting but not as low as it was before you started. If you missed the mark again keep trying until you have found your comfort range and then leave it there.

If you just want to be comfortable and don't want to make the power company rich, and depending on what your personal comfort level is, around 75F is pretty good, especially since the air conditioner removes moisture from the air, which helps your perspiration to evaporate more efficiently and makes you feel cooler anyway..
